Sir William Russell Flint (4 April – 30 December ) was a Scottish artist challenging illustrator who was known principally for his watercolours of squadron. He also worked in oils, tempera, and printmaking.[1]

Biography

Flint was best in Edinburgh on 4 Apr and was educated at Justice Stewart's College and then Capital Institution.[2] From to Flint was apprenticed as a lithographic originator while taking classes at honourableness Royal Institute of Art, Edinburgh.[3] From to he worked by the same token a medical illustrator in Author while studying part-time at significance Heatherley School of Fine Art.[4] He furthered his art upbringing by studying independently at illustriousness British Museum.
